The Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine 2021 \u2013<\/span> 2027 Programme was adopted by the European Commission on November 30, 2022. Its overall objective is to support cross-border development processes in the Polish-Ukrainian border region. The Programme is aimed at Polish and Ukrainian border regions and all non-profit institutions operating in this area.
\nThe Programme objectives are implemented in 6 main priorities: ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, TOURISM, COOPERATION, BORDERS, ACCESSIBILITY using strategic large infrastructure projects, regular projects and small project funds.<\/p>\n

The Programme is based on the principle of partnership, i.e. projects must be implemented in a Polish-Ukrainian partnership (at least one partner from Poland and one from Ukraine) and must bring benefits to the border region and its inhabitants.
\nThe Managing Authority of the Programme is the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy of the Republic of Poland. The Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine serves as the national institution. A joint secretariat supports the Managing Authority and is located in Warsaw, at the Center of European Projects<\/p>\n

Priorities and specific objectives<\/p>\n

The Programme envisages six thematic areas (priorities), within which specific objectives have been identified:<\/p>\n

Priority 1. ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience taking into account eco-system based approaches<\/p>\n

1.2 Promoting access to water and sustainable water management<\/p>\n

1.3 Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution<\/p>\n

1.4 Promoting the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy<\/p>\n

Priority 2. HEALTH<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.1 Ensuring equal access to health care and fostering resilience of health systems, including primary care and promoting the transition from institutional to family and community based care<\/p>\n

Priority 3. TOURISM<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.1 Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation<\/p>\n

Priority 4. COOPERATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

4.1 Build up mutual trust, in particular by encouraging people-to-people actions<\/p>\n

Priority 5. BORDERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

5.1 Other actions for a safer and secure Europe<\/p>\n

Priority 6. ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

6.1 Developing and enhancing sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent and intermodal national, regional and local mobility, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility<\/p>\n
