Specific objective 1.4: Promoting the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy
The aim of the CrossEco project is to increase the participation of residents and organisations in activities that promote sound waste management by developing cross-border cooperation, raising environmental awareness and implementing practical solutions to reduce waste generation, separate collection and reuse.
The implementation of small-scale cross-border projects aims to improve the efficiency of waste management systems and disseminate best practices, including solutions that meet EU standards.

Key parameters of small-scale projects
THEMATIC AREAS:
- Joint initiatives to improve municipal waste management and residual waste management, as well as promoting innovative solutions related to the transition to a circular economy;
- Promoting rational waste management (waste reduction, waste sorting, increased recycling and reuse) and raising awareness of environmental issues.
GRANT AMOUNT: €20,000–€90,000
CO-FINANCING: up to 90% of eligible costs
DURATION: maximum 12 months
PARTNERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: at least one partner from Poland and one partner from Ukraine
ELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS:
- public authorities, regional and local administrations, associations of these authorities and their subordinate institutions;
- other public law entities (e.g., chambers, public institutions);
- administrations and management bodies of protected areas, such as national parks, nature parks, landscape parks, biosphere reserves, etc.;
- entities managing forest areas and state forestry enterprises with their structural units; divisions of higher education institutions and research institutions;
- non-governmental organizations.
GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES – Programme area:
Poland – voivodeships: Podlaskie, Mazowieckie (subregions: Ostrołęka and Siedlce), Lubelskie, Podkarpackie
Ukraine – oblasts: Lviv, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk
