The Small Projects Fund is a separate part of the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Programme.

The programme envisages the implementation of two Small Project Funds, one for each priority:

  • PRIORITY 1. ENVIRONMENT, addressing Specific objective 1.4. Promoting the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy, managed by the Agency of Regional Development in Ternopil Region, Ukraine.
  • PRIORITY 4. COOPERATION, addressing Specific objective 4.1. Building mutual trust, in particular by encouraging interpersonal activities, managed by the Carpathian Euroregion Association, Poland.

WHAT IS FUNDED

Small Projects Funds supports the development of the Polish-Ukrainian border region through the implementation of projects addressing border challenges and opportunities that cannot be adequately addressed or addressed by a single country alone, but require cooperation between partners from Poland and Ukraine.

This means that each project must be implemented jointly by partners from Poland and Ukraine. Both beneficiaries from Poland and Ukraine can submit applications and implement a small project under Small Projects Funds.

FUNDING CONDITIONS

Each Small Projects Fund has a total value of EUR 4,543,417.77 (including funding from the Programme – EUR 4,089,076.00).

The maximum total budget of a small project cannot exceed EUR 100,000.

Small projects implemented under the Fund will be co-financed up to 90% of eligible expenses and require at least 10% of eligible expenses provided by partners as contribution from their own financial resources.

Funding will be provided in the form of a non-repayable grant, based on reimbursement of previously incurred costs. This means that all costs related to the implementation of planned project activities must be covered from the applicant’s own funds. Therefore, the applicant/partner must be able to pre-finance expenses for a small project.

The implementation period for a small project should not exceed 12 months.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Dedicated calls for proposals will be organised for each Small Projects Fund.

The application form and required supporting documents will be submitted online, via an application generator. All documents must be submitted in English.
