Start of work on updated development strategies in the Velyka Haiivka and Skalat communities

Recently, as part of the continuation of the first phase of the Project to update Development Strategies for communities in the Ternopil region, with the support of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), working meetings were held with the Velyka Haiivska and Skalat territorial communities.

Experts from the Western Ukrainian National University presented participants with plans for developing strategic documents, outlining key stages and approaches.

During her speech, Iryna Skuratko, Director of the Regional Development Agency in the Ternopil region, noted that community participation is an integral part of quality strategic planning, as it is the joint participation of residents, businesses, and local authorities that makes it possible to create realistic, effective, and people-oriented documents.

Deputy Director of the Agency Volodymyr Pletyuk emphasized the importance of complying with methodological requirements and procedures when developing updated strategies.

The meetings also showcased best practices in the development and implementation of development strategies that have been successfully implemented by the Shumsk and Lanivtsi communities.

The agency expresses its gratitude to all participants in the process. Joint efforts will enable high-quality updates to strategic documents and their alignment with national and regional development strategies.
